Delete Account

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.

  1. Open Orange Turtle and sign in.
  2. Open the Profile page.
  3. Tap the red Delete Account button.
  4. Confirm by tapping Yes.

You are signed out on every device and can no longer log in with that account.

2. Request deletion by email (no app needed)

Use this route if you have uninstalled Orange Turtle or can’t get into it.

  1. Send your request. Email support@wontle.com from the email address you registered with, using the subject “Delete my Orange Turtle account”. Adding your display name helps us find the account, but isn’t required.
  2. Confirm it’s you. We reply to your registered email address and ask you to confirm. Our reply comes from support@wontle.com; if you don’t see it, check your spam or junk folder. Reply CONFIRM within 7 days. If we don’t hear back within 7 days, we close the request and take no action. You can send a new request at any time.
  3. We delete your account. We delete your account and email you to confirm within 30 days of your confirmation.

If you can no longer access the email address you registered with, we can’t verify that the account is yours, so we are unable to process the request.

3. What gets deleted

Email address and sign-in details — Deleted. The email address can then be used to create a new account.

Profile details (name, display name, interests and similar) — Cleared, and the account is marked as deleted.

Profile picture and uploaded images — Deleted immediately, including any picture you replaced earlier.

Active sign-ins — Ended on every device.

4. What we keep, and why

Messages you sent (kept up to 4 months after posting) — They stay visible in chat rooms under the name “Deleted User”, not your display name, until they reach our normal 4-month limit, then they are permanently deleted. We keep them for this time because removing them the instant your account is deleted would leave gaps in conversations that other people are part of.

Reports involving your content (kept 12 months from the date of the report) — Kept as moderation and safety evidence. This only applies if content you posted was reported.

Once none of your messages remain, the leftover account record, from which your personal details have already been removed, is permanently deleted too.

5. Good to know

  • Deletion is permanent. It can’t be undone, and we can’t restore a deleted account.
  • Guest mode: if you only ever used Orange Turtle as a Guest, no account was created and there is nothing to delete.
  • Ads: Orange Turtle shows ads through Google AdMob. Information Google collects for advertising is handled by Google under its own privacy policy and isn’t covered by deleting your Orange Turtle account. See Section 8 of our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Questions
